Demonstrating Thankfulness

We often voice our thanks to the Lord as we highlight His faithfulness in deliverance, provision, protection, counsel and comfort, among other things. Beyond our very important articulation of thankfulness, however, I have often wondered how else we could demonstrate to the Lord how grateful we are to Him.
At Christmas, we give gifts to others because we are thankful to them for being a part of our lives, so what gift can we give to show our appreciation for God’s place in our lives?
This is a personal conversation that we have with the Lord because what He desires from us is often unique to us. Sometimes it is giving up something; sometimes it is giving ourselves to something.
In January 2018 we begin a year-long celebration of God;  not just His faithfulness but all that He is. How can we demonstrate our thankfulness during this year? To what has God called you (and me)? Is there something that you would like to do personally, to commemorate this milestone? Is there some offering that you can bring to Him? How can we at the Chapel create a gift that is a sweet perfume to Him who loved us so much that he gave His life for us, and remains in us as our mainstay?
I’m off to ask Him what I can give. Will you do the same?
